Tiffany asked, “ Why do all Koreans have bangs like you?”  It was the first middle school day and the first question from my first foreign friend. The artist was an alien at an international school in Malaysia. The answer to that was “I don’t know”. Even after 10 years, the artist still has stuck to bangs. She has been trying on different hairstyles, but always with bangs: Side bangs, blunt bangs, long bangs, wavy bangs, see-through bangs. With a little bit of exaggeration, you may face almost every girl with bangs walking on the street in Korea. Although she still has no answer to Tiffany's question, she believes having Korean bangs is part of her identity at this point. Her bangs are the expression of the artist’s distinctive characteristics affected by the uniformity presented in Korean Culture.
